Sangarsh- A movement for Justice, Equality, Peace, Prosperity and Brotherhood held a Programme to celebrate its first foundation day at Jammu University campus. In an impressive function with a unique style to express its ideology the movement invited the well known news hawker of Jammu University Mr. Surinder Kumar as the Chief Guest. In a fine gesture the activists of the movement along with Mr. Surinder Kumar cut the cake of its first foundation day.
Speaking on the occasion the founder member of the movement Mr. Vikrant Shrama congratulated the activists for the successful compilation of the active one year. Mr. Sharma apprised the guests and the activists about the annual report of activities in which the movement raised number of genuine issues including implementation of RTI act as par with centre, giving teeth to State Accountability Commission, appointment of Chairperson for State Women Commission, introduction of Child Juvenile Act, improvement in the defunct nature of Public Service Commission, filling the seventy three thousands vacancies in the different departments, making infrastructure facilities to the thousands of schools in J&K, making adequate arrangements for road connectivity particularly in the far flung areas particularly the construction of Jammu Poonch highway which is most important road from the strategic point of view any many others.
Mr. Sharma also apprised about the much reckoned fight of Sangarsh with he autocratic regime in Jammu University. The movement fought for the implementation of basic academic calendar, fixed recruitment policy in the appointment, an enquiry on the financial bunglings in JU particularly in IQAC and DCD, about the construction of five new hostels, about the defunct nature of different study centers and their revival, about the step motherly treatment with the different campuses in comparison with the Bhardwah campus particularly the poor governance, about the revival of research activities in the campus and many others.
Mr. Sharma claimed that the movement is very much progressive and modern in its views and thoughts as the cutting of cakes on the foundation day indicates the same and cutting of cake from the hands of the industrious worker like newspaper hawker indicates the socialist ideology of the movement.
Those who were present include the members of the executive body of Sangarsh Mr. Ashok Singh (Chairman), Mr. Krishan Dev Singh (President), Ms. Mukti Tikkoo (V-President), Ms. Taniya Akhter (V-Presidet),Mr. Suresh Kumar (General Secretary), Ms. Poonam Honda (Joint Secreatry, Records), Mr. Akhmat Choudhary (Joint Secretary, Media), Mr. Ranjeet Sharma (Founder member) and other prominent figures including Rajini Sharma, Vishal Pathnia, Monika Sharma,Pankaj Mansotra, Sunil Kumar, Mahesh Koul, Jasbir Kotach, Ahsan Mirza , Maruti Sharma, Porush Shrikhandia, Deepika Hans, Dulari Parihar, and Meenakshi Sharma.
